Nothing but bread


Soria Natural launches a new range of Dextrinated toasted wholegrain bread, made with sourdough and without additives nor artificial preservatives.

Cereals, water, yeast and salt are the only ingredients needed to make bread. With them and a lot of care, we can make one of the foods with more history. Although it is difficult to determine exactly when bread first appeared, different references indicate that it was in the Neolithic and by chance. At that time, men smashed cereals and mixed them with water to prepare a kind of mash. One day, someone forgot the mash and after returning, found a dry, grainy pie, and this way they discovered bread.

Since then, bread has been present in different cultures and civilizations, and there are more than three hundred varieties. Throughout history, it has been a basic food, especially in times of war and shortages. However, at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, industrial bakery was expanded throughout Spain, along with frozen doughs and pre-cooked breads, thus leaving traditional recipes and hand-made bread in oblivion. Luckily, things have changed again, and nowadays, experts and consumers prefer traditional, high-quality, nutritious, tasty and aromatic bread.

A bread like the traditional ones

As we have indicated, to make good bread, we only need four ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast. The taste, aroma, texture and even digestibility of the bread depend on the right choice of these ingredients. Thus, whole wheat flour is preferable to refined flour, and, when it comes to choosing the leaven, the best is sourdough.

Dextrinated whole bread from Soria Natural

Soria Natural presents its new range of whole bread made only with the ingredients of traditional bread, worked with care and slow-cooked to achieve an original taste and texture.

  • Made with sourdough, which is a natural leaven that potentiates taste and texture, and generates bread with higher digestibility, a lower glycemic index, and which helps improve the absorption of minerals. Our sourdough is made of whole wheat flour milled in a stone mill. This milling process is performed in a single step and at low speed, which helps the flour preserve its nutritional and organoleptic properties, hence giving the product a unique taste and aroma.
  • Made with 100% whole flour, thus preserves all the layers of the cereal grain and maintains its high nutritional values, hence obtaining high-fiber bread.
  • Dextrinated. In the manufacturing process, our breads lose most of the moisture and starch is transformed into dextrins, which are simple sugars that are much easier to digest.
  • Natural recipe. Sugar-free, without industrial additives, without artificial improvers or preservatives.
  • Linoxtrote and Linoxtrote with Chia, with a high content of omega-3 fatty acids, are recognized by the Spanish Heart Foundation.

The new range of toasted bread involves four products:

  • DEXTROTE Whole wheat toasts
  • ESPELTROTE Whole wheat spelt toasts
  • LINOXTROTE Dextrinated whole wheat toasts with flaxseed
  • LINOXTROTE CON CHIA Dextrinated whole wheat toasts with flaxseed and chia

The new toasted bread from Soria Natural comes in a carton made with cardboard from sustainably managed forests, which facilitates home handling for consumers.
