Description
It’s a vivacious plant of the Leguminosae (Pea/Fabaceae) that might grow up to 0.6-1.2 m in height. The stem is ligneous at the base and grows in bush-like way. Leaves are alternate, trifoliate with elliptic folioles which have a silky texture when young. Inflorescence is compact, spherical, almost sessile. Flowers are milky-white, papilonaceas. The fruit is an oval-shape sheath, flat and monospermic.
It is a native plant of United States; however, it is distributed throughout North America.

Indications
- Oliguria: reduces the vascular resistance in the kidney, increasing glomerular filtration.
- Hyperuricemia and gout.
- Hypercholesterolemia.
