Description
It’s a vivacious plant of 10 to 50 cm high, with rhizomes, either creeping or ascending. Leaves are soft, alternate, simple and wide. Their shape is somewhere between oval and lanceolate, with the upper face shining and matte beneath. Flowers are very small, greenish or reddish, grow in clusters in the axils of the upper leaves. The fruit is a small, shining brown achene.
Its distribution is cosmopolitan and grows in brushwoods, woods, in wall and rock cracks, steep banks and rubbles. It prefers cool areas rich in organic matter, sunny or semi-shadowed and a maximum of 1,500 m in altitude.

- Urinary infections: cystitis, urethritis, uretheritis.
- Urinary lithiasis.
- Hyperuricemia, gout and rheumatism.
- Arterial hypertension.
- Edemas, oliguria, water retention.
- Hepatobiliary dyskinesia.
- Respiratory tract disorders.
- External use: wounds, burns, contusions.
